2016 Reserve Petit Verdot - Dumas Station Wines
This lush, ripe, and fresh Walla Walla Petit Verdot provides a classic and complex mixed bouquet of fresh and dried flowers: lavender, lilac, honeysuckle, jasmine, violet, rose, and orange blossom; blended with sage, plus flowering thyme and basil. Beneath the floral bouquet are distinct aromas of apricot, peach skin, lychee, mixed berries, mint, and roasted red pepper. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, has fine, well-integrated tannins, very well-balanced acidity, and a very long finish. Floral flavors of lilac, violet and rose petal, dried Mediteranean herbs and dried orange peel blend beautifully with those of apricot, almond, nectarine, cranberry, dark cherry, plum skin, dark olives and dried mint. A classic and elegant Petit Verdot.
