2014 Merlot - Dancing Fish Vineyards
Wow, this is one powerhouse Merlot from Walla Walla. With its backbone of nervy acid, medium body and grippy tannins, it will benefit from patient aging, or decanting when you just can’t wait. With just a kiss of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it delivers a nose of bright cherries, cocoa, dry herbs, plums, and ground black pepper. There is just so much on the palate – dark juicy fruit, sundried tomatoes, bramble leaves, leafy green notes, and cedar integrated with cocoa. A perfect marriage with this wine would be a rich lamb dish. Enjoy!
