Crafted yet again from the northern section of Block 10 at our Double River Estate Vineyard, this distinctive wine shows the beauty, finesse and versatility of the Cabernet Franc grape. Harvested early in the season at a significant higher yield resulted in a vivid and bright wine with hardly any color. Cool, slow fermentation in stainless steel for about 45 days delivered an expressive wine with beautiful acidity. It remained on the lees for 30 more days and was stirred once a week to enhance aromatics, mouthfeel and complexity. The idea behind this wine was to create the perfect sipping wine from Cabernet Franc for those perfect summer evenings on the patio.
